Rotary Club Beograd - Metropolitan

Initial meeting of the RC Beograd – Metropolitan was held in the hotel Hyatt Regency Beograd on September 09. 2003.

The Charter celebration with the official delivery of our RC Certificate was in the hotel Hyatt Regency Beograd on February 21. 2004.

From the wery start we are following basic principals of the Rotary International Mission and our focus was on the Humanitarian Projects, the International Club Relation, the Twin Club relation, the Inter Country Club relation, etc.

We are proud to say that our honorary members are:
President of Serbian Academy of Science and Arts Prof.Dr Nikola Hajdin, Honorable Member of SASA, one of the most famous serbian writers Mrs.Svetlana Velmar Jankovic, Mr. Peter Gut from Switzerland and Mr. David Johnston from Canada.Past President Dusan Popovac (USA) is also a honorary member.

At the begining there was 24 of us....today, in our fifth year, we have more than 30 active and 6 honorary members.
The quality of our regular meetings is enriched with the excellent selection of the Guest Speakers and a lot of guests from all over Serbia and even from all world including the Rotary Club members.
Rotarians from all over the world are always more than welcome on our meetings so dont hesitate to visit us!

We are proud to say that for achived goals in year 2008/2009, Rotary Club Beograd-Metropolitan was AWARDED on District conference held in Thessaloniki in three categories:

1. For its balanced activities in all Avenues of Service,
2. For its actions to reduce child mortality and
3. For the promotion of Rotary's public image.
