APPEAL FOR HELP TO ALL ROTARY CLUBS IN ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

Upon devastating earthquake in Kraljevo, RC Kraljevo have started to raise funds and construction material for the local community. RC Metropolitan will join that mission and do the best to help citizens of Kraljevo.

Letter from RC Kraljevo:

Dear friends in Rotary,

The devastating earthquake which befell the city of Kraljevo and its surroundings on the third of November 2010 had left enormous damage to the residential and public buildings.
According to the first estimates, about 6000 buildings were damaged and about 350 families were left homeless. Unfortunately, there were two casualties.
A large number of the residential buildings were totally destroyed and two churches (Orthodox Christian and Roman Catholic), several primary and high schools, the local hospital and many public buildings were damaged.
The members of our Rotary club have started to raise funds and construction material for the local community.
The funds raised will be used to purchase temporary accommodation (containers). The construction material and other means will be distributed to the local population as agreed with the Disaster Relief Headquarters of Kraljevo.
